Die norwegische Symphonic Black Metal Formation DIMMU BORGIR hat beschlossen, die diversen Coverversionen der vergangenen Jahre in einem Album zusammenzufassen und am 08. Dezember unter dem Titel „Inspiratio Profanus“ zu veröffentlichen. Als kleinen Appetithappen gibt es `Black Metal´ von Venom auf die Ohren.

„Message to you, The Fans, old and new! We thought we’d offer a little something while we are held up concocting new alchemic brews in our lab. Now, many of you have these cuts in your possession already, but nevertheless, we figured it’d be good to have all the covers we’ve done over the years compiled under one release. We aptly chose Inspiratio Profanus as the title for this purpose and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do! Consider this a homage to some of the artists that have inspired us and still do.“
