ABSENT IN BODY sind 2017 ursprünglich die Idee von Amenra-Gitarrist Mathieu J. Vandekerckhove und Neurosis-Sänger/Gitarrist Scott Kelly. Gemeinsam mit Amenra-Frontmann Colin H. Van Eeckhout an Gesang und Bass sowie mit Ex-Sepultura Drummer Iggor Cavalera ging das Sludge/Post-Metal Kollectiv an die Arbeit. Als ersten Vorgeschmack auf das Longplaydebüt „Plague God“, welches für den 25. März geplant ist, gibt es nun Single und Video zu ‚The Acres/The Ache‘. Viel Spaß!

Mathieu Vandekerckhove kommentiert:

“We had not imposed any limitations or boundaries on ourselves to create this music. Everything happened without any compromise, we gathered and let inspiration run freely. It is the beauty and the strength of this album.”

Und Iggor Cavalera ergänzt:

„It feels great to collaborate with such forward-thinking minds like Colin, Mathieu, and Scott on AIB. The music is dense and slowly brutal, very similar to the times we are living.“
