Lyrics:
There’s a rope hanging down a tree
It is the neckbreaking truth of society
The knot is tightened with a rotten conception
And every fibre’s made of arrogance
It’s in the air that you swallow and in the dirt that you breathe
Here hangs the misapprehension of human supremacy
If freedom of will is our highest good
Then tell me why are we enslaved
We play a game we are bound to lose
Deification of a mind – deranged
Alright! Tie the fucking rope!
Hear – our backbone rupturing under our own weight
Progression becomes regress and more isn’t enough
To quench the egomania of our age
All you wanna do is be yourself
And at the same time indoctrinate everybody else
Our world is coated with an artificial layer
We buy and our conscience is the payer
Beauty is becoming tragedy
Now my fellow don’t you look at me
This wreck is yours as much as it’s mine
Face it – It’s everyone’s decline
Tie the rope! Tie the Rope!
Feel – the roadkill scraping the varnish off our crown
Mine is the kingdom, power, glory forever
Until the host comes back for another round
Fattened selves graving for dung
Lacerating shots from loaded shot-tongues
Dissecting the villains you enforce yourself to hate
Rubbed-off rage publicly displayed
Pleasure is becoming agony
Once beloved one don’t you seek in me
The reason for your self-doubt
Get it – nobody lives without
Tie the rope! Tie the Rope!
Let’s breed stress and feed on it
Come join the army and deal with it!
There’s a rope hanging down a tree
It is the neck-retching loop of modernity
We all balance on the edge of the hangman’s chair
A painting of ourselves in still life – hollow ware
We are the judge yet we won’t stir a bit
As long as the hammer’s up the ego can act out its shit
Negotiation repelled
Fate decides the second you let go!
