Wie bereits letzten Monat angekündigt veröffentlichen TRIVIUM am 08. Oktober ihr zehntes Langeisen “In The Court Of The Dragon“. Heute hat der zweite Song seine Videopremiere: ‘Feast Of Fire‘, der offenbar nicht einfach zu schreiben war.
Zum neuen Song und den Songwriting-Prozess sagt Gregoletto:
„Wenn man sich an das Schreiben eines neuen Albums begibt, gibt es immer diesen einen Song, den du nicht hast kommen sehen. Es kann ein Riff sein, das aus dem Stegreif im Proberaum entstand, eine Songzeile, die perfekt zur Melodie passt oder, im Fall von ‚Feast of Fire‘, direkt vor uns lag, als Teil eines Demos, das Corey mitgebracht hatte. Wir befanden uns bereits mitten in der Vorproduktion im Full Sail, als wir alle übereinkamen, dass etwas an dem Demo, das wir aufgenommen hatten, gut war – aber noch besser sein könnte. Unser Produzent Josh Wilbur hatte dazu sogar einige Worte in seinen Notizen festgehalten: ‚Bridge is special, maybe so special it needs its own song‘. Daher rissen wir den Track kurzerhand in Stücke und begannen an Ort und Stelle von vorn.“
