THUNDEROR – Rotz Rocker go Celtic: `Cape Breton Home` ist online

  • Beitrags-Autor:

“I wanted to write a song inspired by back home, maybe it’s the time passing by, I felt a bit nostalgic and needed something to reconnect me to the island. What better way than with music! And I think in return, Cape Breton also needs a song like this,”

Lyrics:

My Cape Breton home, I know, seems so far

Times gone past, alas, memories forever last

The place I once knew, so far, seems to fade

But in my heart, I’ll be home again someday

..

We are the boys and we’re having a time tonight

We are the boys and we’re going strong

We are the boys and we’re having a drink tonight

Come here dear won’t keep you too long

We could be relieved

Sent back home and in high regard

It would be believed

We were heroes of the sea

We’d set sail, as soon as morning light

We’d be gone, all on our own

We’d gear up, and show up to the fight

Yes we’ll make stories to remember

That they’ll tell for good

Yeah it won’t hurt, what we don’t know

That’s the life for me

My Cape Breton home, I know, seems so far

Times gone past, alas, memories forever last

The place I once knew, so far, seems to fade

But in my heart, I’ll be back again someday

Oh yeaaaah

Oh send me a sign

Far in the afterglow

We’d set sail, as soon as morning light

We’d be gone, all on our own

We’d gear up, and show up to the fight

Yes we’ll make stories to remember

That they’ll tell for good

Yeah it won’t hurt, what we don’t know

That’s the life for me
