Der Symphony X Saitenvirtuose MICHAEL ROMEO bringt sein Video für ’Metamorphosis’ heraus. Die zweite Single vom anstehenden Album ‚War of the Worlds Part II‘, dessen Erscheinen für den 25. März angesetzt ist.
MICHAEL ROMEO über die neue Single:
„Here’s another one from my new solo album ‘War of the Worlds, Part 2’. This time we have the track – „Metamorphosis.“ Whereas ‚Divide & Conquer‚ had a more ’straight-ahead‘ feel, this one has a few more twists and turns going on. Hope you enjoy it!“
Den Gesangspart auf dem Album hat übrigens Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake ,Trans Siberian Orchestra) übernommen, wodurch die Tracks auch für nicht Gitarren-Fanatiker absolut hörbar wird. MICHAEL dazu:
“I go way back with John and JD, so they were the obvious choices, but this time I wanted to try something different with the vocals”, Romeo says. “Dino came highly recommended, and he totally nailed it! He really brought an exciting element to the music.”

Lyrics:
A metamorphosis has come to light – for better or for worse
Lurking deep within the dead of night – a blessing or a curse?
Won’t be the first time and won’t be the last – so shed your broken wings
You could change the future and the past – but it doesn’t change a thing
Rising-up from the fire – a darkness comes over me
Look into the blackest mirror – times the one enemy
Maybe once an angel in disguise – a change of hands, a change of heart
Staring back at me with stranger’s eyes – tearing my world apart
Empty pages on the edge of night – starting a new verse
A metamorphosis has come to light – for better or for worse
Rising-up from the fire – a darkness comes over me
Look into the blackest mirror – times the one enemy
Still searching – uncertain and I don’t know the reason why
Surrender – remember, I can’t say you didn’t try
Change the rules, dancing fools – howling at the moon
Isolate – take the bait – accept impending doom
Vile, corrupt, self-destruct – nothing you can do
Wicked birth of Hell on earth – becoming something new
Rising-up from the fire – a darkness comes over me
Look into the blackest mirror – times the one enemy
Rising-up from the fire – a darkness comes over me
Look into the blackest mirror – times the one enemy
