Portugals SEVENTH STORM, die neue Band rund um ex-Moonspell Drummer Mike Gaspar, veröffentlichen ihre Scheibe „Maledictus“ am 12. August und zeigen davon ihren Song `Saudade` in gleich zwei Versionen. Der englischen Variante und der portugiesischen.
Drummer Mike erzählt:
Ich wollte einen Song, der zu den Menschen spricht und die Liebe zu unserer alten Kultur zum Ausdruck bringt.Unsere Liebe zu unseren Eltern. Die Erinnerung an diejenigen, die wir verloren haben und so sehr vermissen. Das Gefühl, dass einige Freunde oder Verwandte immer noch an unserer Seite sind, die uns leiten und uns Orientierung geben. Eine Person, an die ich dabei oft gedacht habe, war Peter Steele. Er war ein erstaunlicher Mensch und ein guter Freund. Ich hatte wirklich das Gefühl, dass er mich manchmal regelrecht dazu drängte, das zu tun, wozu ich letztlich bestimmt war.Er war auch ein großer Fan der portugiesischen Kultur und natürlich unseres Weins.“
