RICHIE KOTZEN hat an diesem Wochenende seinen neuen Longplayer “Nomad“, für alle Fans der abgefahrenen Gitarrenmusik veröffentlicht. Dass er dabei längst den Grenzen des Rocks entwachsen ist, beweist KOTZEN auch mit der neuen, jazzartigen Single `Nihilist`.
Er schreibt zum Track
“‘Nihilist’ ist vielleicht der Eckpfeiler des gesamten Albums, wie ich es sehe”, sagt Kotzen. “Es ist sicherlich die älteste Komposition, da ich diese Master-Aufnahme schon seit ein paar Jahren besitze. Ich wusste, dass es ein besonderer Song ist und ich wollte, dass die Leute ihn hören, aber ich war mir nicht sicher, wie ich das angehen sollte. Das heißt, es hätte eine Single werden können, aber ich hatte nicht das richtige Zeitfenster dafür. Als ich das Gefühl hatte, dass ich auf dem Weg zu einem kompletten Album war, wurde mir klar, dass dies der abschließende Song war, unabhängig davon, was davor kommen würde.”
