Das, was heute unter dem Banner Post-Punk läuft, wäre früher wohl klassischer Darkwave, Batcave oder auch nur als Goth bezeichnet worden. Sei es drum, die neue `Hermine` Single der San Francisco Band OCTAVIAN WINTERS könnte bereits vor Jahrzehnten geschrieben worden sein. Ist sie aber nicht. Trotzdem . Im Gegenteil, `Hermine` verweist auf die Zukunft, genauer gesagt auf das OCTAVIAN WINTERS Album, das Anfang 2026 herauskommen soll.

„Hermine was wonderful to write and sing because it has a real no-holds-barred energy about it. I was also able to revisit my metal roots, in terms of vocal delivery, which was both fun and cathartic. The lyrics reference the novel Steppenwolf by Hesse, and explore the nature of the fragmented psyche and passionately urges the freedom of self acceptance.“
