Die siebenköpfige Truppe LOST IN GREY aus Finnland um die beiden Sängerinnen Anne Lill alias Lillian und Emily Leone alias Odessa macht Symphonic Metal mit theatralischer Komponente und cineastischen Elementen. Der neue Track `The Bottomless Pit´ macht neugierig auf das kommende Album „Odyssey into the Grey“, das am 05. April herauskommen wird. Der Song beruht auf dem bekannten Zitat des deutsch-amerikanischen Psychoanalytikers, Philosophen und Sozialpsychologen Erich Fromm: “Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.”

Songwriter, Sänger und Keyboarder Harri Koskela alias Patrick erklärt:

“‘The song represents the most versatile and theatrical side of the new album, accompanied with lots of orchestral elements. Musically I was inspired by certain movie scores, and some may recognise e.g. some “Ennio Morricone vibes” here and there. This track is one of the first ones which we worked on together with Francesco Ferrini from Fleshgod Apocalypse regarding the orchestral elements, and I’m extremely happy how it turned out! Also, it is one of the two songs we composed together with Anne Lill for this album.”

Anne Lill fügt hinzu:

“Storywise ‘The Bottomless Pit’ is the “villain song” of the upcoming album. We sing mainly as our characters, but there are two lines in which I’m singing as “myself”, or an actor explaining her part. This is also the song in which my character Lillian sort of realises she has a dark side too. As I’m interested in various forms of art (e.g. writing, singing, visual arts), this time I also explored that through improvised dancing in the music video.”
