Multiinstrumentalist und Komponist Laszlo Jones beschäftigt sich auf seiner jüngst erschienenen EP „Beyond The Door“ in fünf Songs mit verschiedenen Aspekten des Todes. Die aktuelle Single “Kill Myself” wurde gemeinsam mit Testament-Gitarrist Alex Skolnick als Gast aufgenommen und dreht sich um die auch durch die Pandemie enorm gestiegenen Selbstmordraten. Sond und EP wurden von Michael Buyens (Life of Agony, The Gathering) produziert und das Mixing übernahm Kane Churko (5 Finger Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne).

Jones erklärt:

“It’s a song about the general lack of well-being and depression endured by many people that can lead to self-hate and self-destruction — which can sometimes lead to dangerous games with death. Above all, it’s important that people in suicidal crisis, and their relatives, are able to reach a nationwide emergency number at any time,” Jones insists — reminding that professional and psychological support is available. Be attentive. Being there for each other and offering help is just as important for helping to stall a potential death.”
