Die Power Metal Kürbisköpfe von HELLOWEEN präsentieren den ersten neuen Song in der frischen Septett-Besetzung und damit den ersten Track vom neuen, für den 29. August geplanten Studiodreher „Giants & Monsters“. Das natürlich ein wenig japanisch angehauchte, eingängig.kompakte `This Is Tokyo´ stammt aus der Feder von Andi Deris und wird von ihm sowie Michael Kiske gesungen.
Andi Deris erläutert:
“I’ve always wanted to write this song. Japan plays a very special role in my life because I had my first No.1 there with Pink Cream 69 and they always treated me incredibly well. I wanted to set a monument to Japan and finally had the right idea for the lyrics. Because ‚Tokyo‘ is catchier than ‚Japan‘ when sung, the city in this song stands for a whole country that is very important to me.”
