Die norwegische Prog Metal Sensation GREEN CARNATION hat sich in ihrer musikalischen Entwicklung mehrfach gehäutet. Vom Death Metal der Anfangstage, über Death-Doom, Progressive Doom und einen atmosphärischen Gothic Metal zu einem melancholischen Hardrock Sound schließlich hin zum aktuellen melodischen Düster Prog mit Death Elementen, wie ihn auch das aktuelle Album „A Dark Poem, Pt. I: The Shores of Melancholia“ repräsentiert. Wie der Albumtitel bereits andeutet, handelt es sich um eine Trilogie, die bereits am 03. April mit „A Dark Poem, Pt. II: Sanguis“ ihre Fortsetzung erfährt. Bereits heute gibt es den quasi Titelsong `Sanguis (Blood Ties)´ samt Video, wiederum versetzt mit großen Melodien und tonnenweise Atmosphäre.
