GLADENFOLDs neues Album ”Soulbound” wird ab dem 27. Februar 2026 erhältlich sein. Jetzt stellen die finnischen Metaller die angeproggte, langsame und recht atmosphärische Nummer `Mercy` vor, die ausnahmsweise ein Duett darstellt. Für die weiblichen Vocals darin, zeichnet sich Micha von Without Warning verantwortlich. Wer allerdings die Death Metal Wurzeln in dem Song sucht, wird so seine Schwierigkeiten mit `Mercy` haben.
Die Band kommentiert den Song so:
”When the first vocal demo was recorded, it was clear to us that a female voice would be a great fit for this song. We knew Micha and asked if she would be interested in taking part, and to our delight, she said yes. We obviously gave some initial ideas, but she arranged and recorded her own parts independently, and added many amazing hooks. We eventually found out that Esko’s and Micha’s voices sound great together, giving this song an absolutely magical vibe.”
