„It is a song about standing up for yourself and abandoning your position as pawn in someone else’s’ war. The lyrics are honest, the music is powerful & bombastic, and I could not be more proud to share it with you all! „After the Storm“ is released under my own name „DIANNE“. But it’s teamwork that makes the dream work!“

Lyrics:
The lights went down, the curtain fell, a lingering, heartfelt cheer died away.
The harmony, if it was real, then why am I dismayed?
At eventide, in vain I whiled, should we not stand and fight together?
How I regret, my bannerets left me bereft and shamed.
Flow down, bleak rivulet, and carry me ashore.
Fuel my heart, mend my bones for I can’t bear no more.
After the storm, after the battle, the bitter rain pours.
Battered and broken I’ll leave no words unspoken.
Bravery fell into the deepening night where I dwelled.
Demonized, terrorized, scorned but eyes wide open.
Oh dream that I adored, oh memories galore.
Awaken me once more, the tyrant will not be dethroned.
And so you wilt, while he will not atone.
He’ll forsake our world: the cretin sways his sword.
Commands the sky, ‚till feathers fly and burn forevermore, forevermore.
After the storm, after the battle, the bitter rain pours.
Battered and broken I’ll leave no words unspoken.
Bravery fell, into the deepening night where I dwelled.
Demonized, terrorized, scorned but eyes wide open.
A plague on your kingdom, a plague on your chest.
Render me lost, all that I’ll have I’ll forgo but not my quest.
Dishonoured, abandoned, a lone soul, lost and awash with tears.
Without arms nor armour, a meagre shadow, laden with fear.
To you, my love, I bid farewell and bestow the flame.
Hold it high, bright it shines when I reclaim my song.
After the storm, after the battle, the bitter rain pours.
Battered and broken I’ll leave no words unspoken.
Bravery fell, into the deepening night where I dwelled.
Demonized, terrorized, scorned but eyes wide open.
