Fans der schwedischen Power Metaller BLOODBOUND bekommen gerade eben einen neuen Song im Visualizer serviert. `The Raven’s Cry` verweist, wie sein Vorgänger ``Odin`s Prayer` auf das am 07. Juli erschienende neue Album “Tales From The North“ hin.
Die Badnd berichtet dazu: ’Tales From The North’ is very much a concept album about the viking era. About the lives of our ancestors up here in the dark, cold and unfriendly environments of the north. Different legends and myths intertwine during the course of the songs, leading up to the epic battle of 1066, which marks the end of the viking era.”

Lyrics:
When the mist of morning fade away
And vanish in the light of day
We begin to feel the presence of the sun
On the Hersir’s call we charge them all
With promise of an endless hall
And the tables full of brothers lost
The bravest of all
For the sake of every battered soul
They must walk the line of sorrow
On the darkest trails we stand the test of time
To the gates of the northern sky
Honour and glory will never die
Angels at heaven’s door
Will guide you through the dark
Over land and the mountains high
Leaving tonight
It’s my last goodbye
Die by the sword and pray
And close your eyes
You hear the raven’s cry
In the shade of pine and birch we stay
And read the sun to find our way
Over sticks and stones we march towards the north
Under pale moonlight we plod the trail
In heart and mind we cannot fail
And the tables turn we reach the shore
At dawn we set sail
For the sake of every battered soul
They must walk the line of sorrow
On the darkest trails we stand the test of time
To the gates of the northern sky
Honour and glory will never die
Angels at heaven’s door
Will guide you through the dark
Over land and the mountains high
Leaving tonight
It’s my last goodbye
Die by the sword and pray
And close your eyes
You hear the raven’s cry
In memory of our brothers carved into stone
We send their ashes and bone
Farewell on grave boats burn
To the gates of the northern sky
Honour and glory will never die
Angels at heaven’s door
Will guide you through the dark
Over land and the mountains high
Leaving tonight
It’s my last goodbye
Die by the sword and pray
Die by the sword and pray
And close your eyes
You hear the raven’s cry
