“In this song, I call upon a Harpy to please carry me away after I’ve died a thousand little deaths. I lure it with my carrion heart, after all, Harpies are known as human vultures. If not, I fear I might be stuck in the same place, slowly left eroding. I need to die one last time to be laid to rest finally. This song, Harpy, inspired the album title.”
Wer die Niederländer live auf der Bühne erleben will, kann das im Herbst auf der „A Thousand Little Deaths“ Tour tun.

Lyrics:
I’ve died a thousand little deaths
And I’ve got something you might like
A carrion heart
Will you take me on a flight?
Carry me away
Let me hang from your claws
Into the howling winds
‚Cause I’m not who I once was
Harpy! Harpy! Harpy!
A storm is brewing, here she comes
Please don’t leave me here, eroding
Hold me in your talons
Make me feel like I’m floating
Carry me away
With the wind in my hair
Falling unconscious
Dreaming of castles in the air
I’ve died a thousand little deaths
Human vulture, snatch my body away
Take me into your nest
High up on the mountain
And lay me to rest
Harpy! Harpy! Harpy!
You scare me to death
But what’s one more
Compared to a thousand before?
So Harpy, grab me, Harpy
Harpy, grab me
Take me into your nest
High up on the mountain
And lay me to rest
I’ve died a thousand little deaths
Human vulture, snatch my body away
Harpy, grab me
Take me into your nest
High up on the mountain
And lay me to rest
I’ve died a thousand little deaths
Human vulture, snatch my body away
Take me into your nest
High up on the mountain
And lay me to rest
Harpy! Harpy! Harpy!
I’ve died a thousand little deaths
Human vulture, snatch my body away
Take me into your nest
High up on the mountain
And lay me to rest
