Zum 30sten Geburtstag bringen AMORPHIS am 12. Juli ihr noch deutlich death-lastigeres Zweitwerk auf der Livescheibe „Tales From The Thousand Lakes – Live At Tavastia“ zur Geltung. Mit `Black Winter Day´ gibt es heute den zweiten musikalischen Vorgeschmack nach dem bereits erschienenen Video zum Song `Drowned Maid´.
Bassist Olli-Pekka Laine erinnert sich:
„Back in 1994, ‚Black Winter Day‘ was a somewhat different song among the other ‚Tales…‘ material. Being propably the first Death Metal song with a waltz time signature and a Moog-synthesizer, it truly stood out at the time. Thre decades later, ‚Black Winter Day‘ still resonates with the Metal audiences around the globe and plays a crucial role in the saga of Amorphis!“
