KILLER, die Belgische Heavy Metal Unit wurde 1980 von Gitarrist und Sänger Paul “Shorty” Van Camp und Drummer “Fat” Leo (der im Februar 2026 verstarb) gegründet. Mit den drei Albun „Ready For Hell“ (1980), „Wall Of Sound“ (1982) und „Shock Waves“ (1984) verdiente sich die Band einigen Ruhm, bevor sie sich 1987 zum ersten mal auflösten. Einige Re-unions später veröffenltichte Shorty mit seiner Mannschaft an gerade vergangenen Wochenende das „The Grand Finale“ Album, welches das letzte von KILLER sein soll.
Van Camp schreibt über die letzte Scheibe:
»The Grand Finale« is a typical Killer album. True old school metal referring back to our old days. The songs are very catchy, with strong refrains that everyone can sing along to after only a few listens. Simple but honest. And of course, flashing explosive guitar solos which are my specialty. This time I composed all music and lyrics on my own.One of my personal favourites on the album is ‘Welcome To The Real World’, which is a really typical and catchy Killer song.I think the fast, Motörheadish songs will be much appreciated by the fans.”
