MASTER MASSIVE, Schwedens traditionelle Heavy Metal Band mit gleich zwei Leadsängern, hat am Wochenende `Blood On The Floor` und damit den ersten Track des ”White Shadows” Longplayers online gestellt. Veröffentlicht wird das Album am 10. Juli.
Gitarrist Jan Strandh erklärt zum leicht doomigen Stampfer:
„I wanted to make a really stomping mid-tempo song, and just thinking that thought made me play the first riff without hesitation. The image I worked from was a child lifting their gaze from play and looking out into the world. With each verse, the child grows older and begins to draw their own conclusions more and more. One of the best lyrics. The basic song itself has a fairly simple structure. It’s only at the solo that we start to go wild, with a death riff in 7/8 time. Really tricky harmonies, which made composing melodic solos quite challenging. But after many hours of effort, it turned out really well. Per-Mårten added a couple of important keyboard lines at the end of the solo. Masken’s understanding of the lyrics and his raw power bring so much energy.“
