Die US Melodic Black Metaller UADA präsentieren ihre Coverversion von Nirvanas `Something In The way´, wobei eine Coverversion sehr ungewöhnlich für die Truppe aus Portland ist. Vor knapp einer Woche hatte die Truppe ein Remake ihres Tracks `The Purging Fire´ vom zweiten Studioalbum „Cult Of A Dying Sun“ veröffentlicht.
Sänger/Gitarrist Jake Superchi erklärt den „Regelbruch“:
„When UADA was formed, a rule was set: no covers, in pursuit of carving a wholly independent voice. With this song, we allowed ourselves to bend that rule. Recruiting a cellist for this project created a rare alignment—a moment to pay homage to one of the most formative and regional influences of my youth. While staying close to the original arrangement, we allowed our interpretation to take on its own bleak, glacial weight—one that echoes through the song’s timeless sorrow.“
