Death Metallern muss man den Namen DAN SWANÖ wohl nicht vorstellen, denn spätestens mit seinen Bands EDGE OF SANITY, MACERATION und NIGHTINGALE hat SWANÖ auch neben seiner Tätigkeit als Produzent schon lange Berühmtheit erlangt.
Jetzt kündigt er für den 06 März die Wiedervöreffentlichung seiner 1999 veröffentlichten Soloscheibe “Moontower” an. Natürlich kommt die Neuauflage des Teils auch mit Bonustracks, Demos und Coverversionen.
DAN SWANÖ schreibt:
“On almost every album I have been a part of there’s always been that one track where everything fell into place. The song I can not listen to it without getting that powerful rush that I believe is what keeps a composer chasing the sonic dragon. And on the “Moontower” album, it’s definitely “Uncreation”. The birth of “Uncreation” was complicated. It died and was brought back to life and in the end, it turned out to be the best song I ever wrote with growling vocals. I tried to make it as catchy as possible yet still keeping that rather unique “Moontower vibe” going. I was always a sucker for a well-crafted pop song, and I wanted to pay my respect to the magic of a key change in just the right moment, not once, but twice in this track. The guitar solo section, in its pomp meets progressive rock style in 7/8 is my favourite part on the “Moontower” album. Every note is carefully chosen and performed over and over until I got to exactly where I wanted it to be!”
